Delegation of European Senior Administrative Officers of Science and Technology Visited CACMS

On Sept. 19, a 16-member European delegation consisting of senior administrative officers of science and technology visited CACMS, with its members from government departments in charge of science and technology, science and technology cooperation promotion institutions, universities, scientific research departments and innovative enterprises of 12 European countries, including Britain, France, Italy, Spain, Croatia and Ireland. CACMS Vice President Li Kun attended the reception.

Li Kun Welcomed the delegation

At the Institute of Basic Theory for Chinese Medicine, CACMS, the delegation listened to the introduction on the construction of the China-Austria “Belt and Road” joint laboratory of TCM for the Prevention and Treatment of Major Infectious Diseases (hereinafter referred to as Joint Lab) and on the scientific research progress of the Joint Lab, delivered respectively by Song Ping, head of the International Cooperation Division, and the Researcher Li Ning. Then the delegation visited the Joint Lab.

The delegation visited the Institute of Basic Theory for Chinese Medicine, listened to reports and visited the Joint Lab

At the Museum of the History of Chinese Medicine, the delegation listened to the interpretation of TCM relics and introduction of TCM development context by the museum personnel, and experienced the acupoint-marked bronze figure digital display platform. Finally, the delegation experienced the TCM routine exercises for health maintenance. Each of the foreign guests followed the teacher carefully for an experience. At the end of the visit, the delegation expressed their hope to come again to CACMS to experience the rich TCM culture, as they found it truly extensive and profound.

Relevant leaders and experts from the Institute for History of Medicine and Medical Literature, Institute of Basic Theory for Chinese Medicine, Institute of Basic Research in Clinical Medicine, and Institute of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine accompanied the visit.
