“I feel much better after TCM treatment, it is really amazing,” a French guest showed his satisfaction after the acupuncture and cupping experience.

At the invitation of the International Department, Central Committee of CPC, an 11-member vice minister-level delegation of “Understanding China” consisting of friendly people from four Western European countries, i.e., Cyprus, France, Germany and Italy, arrived at CACMS on the morning of September 7 for a visit, to know more about TCM culture and have some TCM therapy experience. Vice President Li Kun headed the reception.

The group visited the Museum of the History of Chinese Medicine, gaining a glimpse into the development context of the history of Chinese medicine, listening to the story of Sun Simiao “riding a tiger and acupuncturing a sick dragon”, learning about the TCM spirit of “superb skill and sincerity” on a master physician, and experiencing the electronic Song Dynasty acupoint-marked bronze figure intelligent examination system. In front of the “Canon of Figure”, they listened carefully to the physiological relationship and health maintenance methods for the internal organs of human body.  

In the training center of the Institute of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, the 11 foreign guests experienced TCM acupuncture, massage, cupping and auricular point pressing with bean. After the treatment, the foreign guests were full of admiration for the long history of TCM and the unique diagnosis and treatment methods.

Upon terminating the visit, the delegation expressed their hope of embracing the arrival of TCM in their countries so that the local people can experience the miraculous effect of Chinese medicine.
